The chapel was located within the defensive walls of Bibbione, a fortified center mentioned in documents dating back to 960.
During the mid-18th century, the church remained operational, to the point where Simona Alamanni Machiavelli, the proprietor of Bibbione Castle, contributed a donation for Mass ceremonies within the church.
Nevertheless, in the subsequent years, the church was gradually neglected, and despite efforts to restore the facade in 1781, its usability declined. By 1791, the church had become inoperative due to the precarious condition of its roof.
The chapel's extensive and captivating history imbues it with a sense of nostalgia, enchantment, and uniqueness, making it a truly special setting to commemorate eternal love.
This beautiful chapel has room for maximum 46 guests with the bride and groom.
